Well, if there was a quiet spell for the mailbox,
things have picked up!
from Jacque
(thanks for the stamps, Jacque!)
from Annie in Maryland
from Connie
and a lovely tiny envelope included with a stamp
of the castle in my favorite city.
I love Edinburgh and wish I could attend just one more Fringe Festival!
from Penne
(friends, since the 7th grade; it still feels like a conversation in a college dorm room)
Outgoing:
Envelopes in progress--
'cause I have letters to write. :)
You must be the favorite of your postman/woman -- there's always something special in your mailbox!
ReplyDeleteI hope he enjoys it half as much as I do!
DeleteI can see what a joy it would be to collect your mail everyday from your mailbox! You must shriek with glee. Your incoming mail looks wonderful and your outgoing mail looks fabulous! Love your very creative envelopes.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that my mailbox and I are a lot happier with the contents this year!
DeleteI have to say, your mailbox is a good deal cheerier than most!
ReplyDeleteI really love getting letters, reading and thinking about them, and then writing a response. Funny, how you can sit down feeling you have nothing to say, then having the letter turn out longer than expected. I also love creating bright, cheerful envelopes and hoping that the mailman and the recipient will both enjoy them. :)
DeleteI got a letter today! Yes, a real letter! I did not expect it, so it was a happy occurrence with good news from my cousin, so I will write her back. I normally just write on plain ole lined paper, but I've made some shorts for the grands and decided I'll decorate a little note to include in the box.
ReplyDeleteYour mailbox is definitely a cheerful one. I'm jealous of that Edinburgh stamp. It has an interesting vintage look. I guess it's the castle that has the age, though. :-) Such color and variety in those envelopes!
Isn't it rewarding to find a personal letter in the mail! And "yay" for cousins--I grew up with a beau coup of wonderful cousins. Have fun decorating your reply, Mary, it doubles the fun. :)
DeleteI always like to se what the mailman(or woman) has brought your way!
ReplyDelete:) My mail carrier is a man, and bless his little heart for delivering in his little mail van without air conditioning!
