Mail, Embroidery, and a Valentine Poem

Such a strange winter.  A couple of days at 79 degrees, then back to the 40's in a matter of days.  We've had a great deal of rain this winter after several pretty dry winters, so hopefully the water table is being reestablished for when summer arrives.

    And, I would also like to run my fingers over your oh-so-lovely embroidery! It looks like something Karen Ruane would go wild over. (I have taken a couple of her on-line courses.) We are also getting lots of rain for which we are thankful.

      I enjoy improvisational embroidery to keep my hands busy while watching Netflix. Sometimes it keeps me busy for an hour or two at a time. Thanks for the tip about Grinling Gibbons--I found a great Youtube video about his carving!

    Your embroidery piece is a work of art! Amazing! I liked walking my eyes over it! I loved the poem. Especially since I just got my daughter-in-law a skunk. Not a real one, but a very cute '60's ceramic skunk.

    What a wonderful poem. I haven't read many by her but I'm trying to explore more poets this year. Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's. We've had crazy weather too - we broke a heat record the other day - got up to 91! Insane. Hope you've been able to enjoy your weekend with lots of reading and crafting!

      It is a wonderful poem, isn't it? I thought 79 was weird for February, but OMG 91! I'm so afraid of summer this year. I did have a great reading weekend :)
