I put some tiny red rick rack around Mila's drawing of Mojo, then built the block with scraps. Still don't know what this will be or where it is going, but I love that 3 legged little Mojo.
Tonight was perfect for Tomato Basil soup and a good book. Georgette Heyer's The Reluctant Widow - in the mood for some Regency romance and mystery.
Something bizarre happened when I posted the comment so forgive if I'm up here twice. The panel and drawing are weely weely cute!
ReplyDeleteI was an avid romance reader in HS and read all of Georgette Heyer I could find at the library. Haven't thought of that in years. Like Rian, something weird happened while I was typing and I, too, might have 2 comments on this post.
ReplyDeleteGee, I used to read GH in high school, too...I don't remember them at all, which means I may have to look them up again...=-) Great drawing of Mojo...don't ya just love those kid drawings =-)
ReplyDeleteRian - I think Mojo's other leg is scratching...he is an itchy dog. The pillow idea for this one is about to win out, but it would be fun to make a bunch of blocks from Mila's drawings.
ReplyDeletePaula - I loved Georgette Heyer in my teens, too. I'm glad that her books are back in print - they are great fun.
Debby- :) They are romance without sex and have great historical detail, mystery, and suspense. Cozy reading!
I do love kids' drawings. I love the Christmas cards each year that use children's art.
What a memory that bookcover evoked. I used to read Georgette Heyer avidly. Used to like decades ago. She is a treasure that each generation can discover.
ReplyDeleteannie- She really is a treasure and such fun!
ReplyDeleteI've never read any of Georgette Heyer's books before. I usually only read non-fiction for some reason (travel stories, new age, art). I looked this book up on amazon and I read a page of it. I think I have to get this book. Thanks for putting it on your blog.
ReplyDeleteBarbara -I found it light-hearted and funny. I've reviewed it on my book blog.
ReplyDeleteOh excellent, a book blog. I'll be going there now to take a look. I'm abit of a book-a-holic.
