And So It Goes

More rain yesterday.  When it stopped pouring so hard, I took a few pics.

The sun came out for a while, then the rain was back.  More rain in the forecast for almost every day this week.  Oh, how the slugs love this weather!

OK.  I've been adding a year to my granddaughter's life.  She is fourteen today, not fifteen.  Whew!  I feel younger myself knowing she's only fourteen!

A few more small embroidered pieces while I've been watching 800 Words, an Australian drama.

  1. Pretty photos! And oh, look at those embroidered pieces! I love them all but especially those two on the right. Being left unsupervised could account for and be the best ever excuse for whatever devilishly fun time we can find to get ourselves into. **giggle**

    1. Thanks, Annie! Although I don't like getting out in the rain, I love being inside and appreciating it. :) Yep, unsupervised adults can get into some interesting situations!

  3. Such pretty pictures! I wouldn't mind more rain here. There's a 10% chance tomorrow, which probably means none. Your embroidery is great. I like the Snail Mail one, especially. Have a great week, Jenclair!

    1. Even 20 percent often means it will rain elsewhere. Our showers over the last week have been "widely scattered." :)

  4. I like your small stitcheries. Funny where our inspirations originates. ACK, we have been getting rain almost daily. One or two sunny/partly cloudy then twice as many rainy. Yesterday it was sun and I thought I'd weed. I cannot tell you how many bites I got and never felt a bug on me. I was only out a short time and didn't want to spray repellent. Won't make that mistake again.

    1. Thanks, Carol! I'm enjoying the stitching. One of the trials of summer, bug bites. Hate 'em!

  5. Oh, Jenclair, I love that stitchery on the right! It seems relatively simple but looks complex and time consuming. This I know from a bit of straight line embroidery I just did on a repair. It should not have taken so long, but I'm out of touch with embroidery stitches.
Enjoy your week of stitching because you likely won't be gardening much. :( Sorry!

    1. It is slow because I'm stitching and watching my shows. :)

  6. Hasn't been the rain been something? At least we don't have to water much. Love the embroidery. When I'm left unsupervised, all I do is read. Nothing so productive as you.

    1. Sometimes it would rain on Fee, on his way home from the office, and not here. No, we've not needed to water, and that's a good thing! :)

  7. We've had way more rain than we usually do -- which for us is going to mean a 'hot humid' summer. Yuck! But I do love all the growth and the green and the ponds filled to the brim.

  9. I meant to say that I love the photo of the reflections in the rain water pooling on the path or patio. Stunning.
