Went to B.R. this weekend
with a Lego set for Max's 10th birthday.
He and Mila and Leo spent a great deal of time with tiny Lego pieces.
Leo the rescue dog
has turned out to be
a perfect match for them.
These went out last week
Mila loves Dr. Who!
Bryce Eleanor has discovered Harry Potter
I have to keep on the lookout for jokes for Max
Reading: I read two more of the Owen Archer series by Candace Robb last week. I love this historical mystery series, the characters, the intriguing plots, and the historical detail. I've also enjoyed two novels by Kristina Ohlsson in her Fredrika Bergman & Alex Recht mystery series, and the first in a new fantasy series by Lauren L. Garcia.
Gardening: Nope, not really.
It will take me a couple of days to rest up, but I have quite a few new books to keep me busy.
Jen, I love your fun mail that includes some pretty cute riddles!
ReplyDeleteTrying to keep the grands interested can be a challenge! :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful collection of post!
ReplyDeleteI hope they enjoy receiving them half as much as I enjoy making them!
DeleteFUN MAIL!! My youngest grandson would play with lego blocks forever. Perhaps that was our clue that he could get a scholarship to Purdue in engineering. Lego blocks...so much better than clicking the phone or playstation!

:) Wow! That would be worth all of the injuries to feet that stepped on Legos! Well worth it for an engineering scholarship! Congrats to your grandson!
DeleteYou should start chewing Bazooka Joe gum and steal their jokes. Or just give Max a big bag.
ReplyDeleteThe kids look like they are enjoying the Lego's. I loved to play Lego with my boys. It's much harder getting off the floor these days, but I'll still join in with the grands on occasion. I agree with Carol, our three boys all work in some form of engineering. I credit the right toys...okay, and their dad.
:) the Bazooka Joe gum is a great idea! Thanks, Mary. And isn't it amazing how far Legos can take a kid!
DeleteI remember the Lego Days quite well *smile*. As I remember there were a couple of small ones that tried to get sucked up in the vacuum cleaner!!
ReplyDeleteAmelia was our Lego freak. You had to watch where you stepped in her room!
DeleteI love that rescue dog-what a cutie! Always love seeing the mail art!
ReplyDeleteLeo has been wonderful--loving, but not full of "puppy mischief." :)
DeleteJen, your letters are always so colourful and fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anna! I have fun with them1
