Waiting for paint to dry is boring, even with a heat tool. Ta dum, ta dum. What to do?
OK --Move on to something else-- like cutting postcards to size, or applying fabric stiffener to a prospective envelope, or stitching envelopes, or perforating cinderella faux postage, or searching for a tool I just set down and can't find.
MONDay, FEB. 1 -----------------
OK-- I cleaned up most of this mess yesterday afternoon. Cheers and approbation appreciated!Today is the first day of A Month of Letters, and I put one in the mailbox and took the other to the post office to be sure it had enough postage.
Tonight, I'll write another letter or postcard and see that it makes tomorrow's mail. Day by day, one letter at a time. Maybe more than one letter, but at least one letter a day during February, with the exception of Sundays. I'm glad I prepared some envelopes and postcards ahead of time.
And so it begins. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
****CHEERS*** ***APPROBATIONS*** But wait -- you didn't post the cleaned up version. Hmmm so we only have your word for it - that its really neat and tidy now *smile*.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the cheers and approbation! And the mess was cleared up, things put away, all neat and ready for a new start. It was! I promise, it really was. But it isn't now. Not as bad as before, but this new obsession gets out of hand quickly. Ideas for more faux postage, can I do a watercolor cat?, ooh, found some fabric with cats for a card to B.E., changed my mind about what to add to an envelope for a particular person, had to make a Dr. Who postcard for Mila, etc. Have to do it NOW, before I forget. :) The letters are actually the easy part, the satisfying conclusion.
DeleteTime to clean up again! Will post a pic of the result...uh, soon?
Many cheers raising the rafters! We'll take your word for their deservedness, of course, even if you haven't provided photographic evidence - yet!
ReplyDelete:) Strange that no one trusts me! I have to clean up again to get evidence!
DeleteWell, it's too late now to prove it, but I know you'll get another chance. LoL. Cheers!...you'll get. But I would have needed proof for approbation. LoL. **just joshin' with ya**. It all looks like quite to producing mess. Maybe if I were to start now to prepare for 2017 I could feel confident enough to join in then. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteNah, you probably have your organizational skills down pat, Annie. I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep it up for a week. I'd rather send 3 or 4 items all at once. It is the planning to actually send one a day that gets a bit sticky. You aren't really supposed to write the letters in advance, but I may end up cheating by writing several letters at once, then mailing one item a day.
DeleteThis might be a duplication - in what case apols but I did something odd with my last comment - and it disappeared!
ReplyDeleteI like your messy work table - but did you really clean it up MMMMMMMmmmmm????
Good luck with your February challenge.
Lynn :D
Why, Lynn! How could you add insult to injury? Of course, I did! It had to be cleaned to allow me to make more stuff (and another mess). BTW, I just started The Girl with Ghost Eyes a few minutes ago and think I'm going to like it.
DeleteIt's like seeing a photo of a creative mind. Ricky has some of the same issues as you. Too many projects, too many ideas. Patty isn't going to make it to Mardi Gras this year, but Carla is coming.
ReplyDelete:) Too many ideas or too few--never a balance. I love Ricky's creative energy. Hate to miss Patty and Dave, but would love to see Carla!
ReplyDeleteOh that Penny!! She is always sending me to the dictionary!! Funny, I was so organized at work. I have always been organized in my "Room", but never decluttered...I would NEVER call it messy.
ReplyDeletexx, Carol
Whenever I get off on a new project, I tear things apart looking for anything that might be useful. I find stuff in strange places, in discarded projects, in forgotten folders, at the bottom of a pile of fabrics, in cubbyholes that were meant to aid in organization. Gradually, things become re-assembled for the new activity, but it takes a while. In the meantime, I continue making new messes. :) The reason for cleaning up is to make more space for whatever is next!
