We finally got a little rain!

I've been trimming shrubs, ripping out some plants that spread
and get out of control or that have simply given up, weeding.
Have seeds ready to start.

  1. I was beginning to wonder whether there was anywhere in your house without bottles and skeletons - you're having fun, aren't you!

    1. I am having fun, and fortunately, I can offload some of the bottles on unsuspecting folks who have to play nice! ;p

  2. I love skeletons. I wonder why, must not too much, lol. How did you make your skellies stand up? It's time to start thinking about Halloween around here!

    1. A little E6000 glue in joints works a treat for standing skeletons and for rearranging the positions of arms and legs. :)

  3. Oh, pretty, pretty flowers! The delightfully fun and colorful characters on your black envelopes look awesome. That colorful border piece is a fun add. LOL...spelling names wrong happens in a flash. That is so familiar for me. I bet she got a kick out of that. Grandma!! I love your stamping and stencil stitching. It’s been such a long time since I’ve done that, but it’s been on my list for postcards. I just cannot catch up with myself. There’s always something new and shiny catching my attention! Your Halloween bottle looks fabulously spooky yet the butterflies are not a bit frightened of it. The skellie is fun. Love the troll hair.

    1. Thanks, Annie! Bryce Eleanor probably thinks I'm sinking into dementia, and she may be right, but fortunately, it isn't bothering me too much. :) I've been debating about attaching the embroidery pieces to postcards, but haven't decided yet. No matter what I think I'm doing when I start a project, other ideas keep coming up and leading to something else. :O

  4. Those bottles are just so much fun. This one may be my favorite. I love your stencil stitching. I am putting that one in my ideas file.

    1. Thanks--I like the shape of that red wine vinegar bottle! I've had a good time playing upstairs, making a mess, and thinking spooky, but not really scary thoughts. :)

  5. What a great idea to use stamps and then do the stitching. I bought a pattern off of Etsy so I can continue to practice the little bit I learned last week. Love your skeletons and bottles!

    1. Using the stencils or stamps is quick and easy, especially since I really just use stem stitch, back stitch, or running stitches and outline the word or image. :) On the house stamp, I used watercolor pencils to give some color. Have fun with your stitching, Iliana!
