Fox & Shamrock
The fox and shamrock page above is from RococcoCo's Etsy Shop. The shadow box was already on hand, so in went fox & shamrock, but think I'll get a mat and frame that fits next trip to Michael's. Not the best picture, but the fox is so charming!
A paper flower (see Craftsberry Bush for tutorial). Her flowers are so gorgeous! My coffee filters were brown, so the effect isn't the same, but they were fun to make. The one below is in a green depression glass funnel.
What to do with left over centers? Make tiny flowers.

Pansies in the garden.
Even if the sun isn't shining, the colors are bright and cheerful.
Yesterday was beautiful, but today is overcast, and a front with rain and colder weather is moving in. A shame because of the Mardi Gras parades tomorrow and Sunday.
Have a great weekend!

Jenclair, it is overcast here today too! It is suppose to rain all weekend. We are going to The Southern Home & Garden Show and I'm glad it is inside. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet visit to Girl in Pink! I would love to see your treasured pottery pieces...have you posted about them? That fox is darling and I love your coffee filter flowers! So charming!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes and Blessings,
Amanda
Sherri - Hope you had fun at the Home & Garden Show! Great inspiration at these events. I'm ready to do some gardening!
ReplyDeleteAmanda - I've posted pictures that have some of the pieces in them, but I really should do a post about the pottery itself.
Isn't the fox cute? I've earmarked a couple of other things from RococcoCo's Etsy shop!
A rose is a rose is a rose - even when made from coffee filters...
ReplyDeleteGer - They last longer! I'm going to get some white filters and see how those turn out. They are easy and fun to make!
ReplyDeleteLove your roses. I once used food coloring to "paint" white coffee filters by dropping the color onto the filter. The filter absorbs the color as it slowly dries. If I remember correctly the color was very soft and looked something like batik fabrics. You might like the look for your roses.
ReplyDeleteFleur de Lis - I'll be sure to try this. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteTotally charming fox and flowers too. I'm enjoying watching your seasonal decorating.
ReplyDeleteKay - I really like that fox! Now, I'm making some pillows for more of a Spring look. This decorating bug is keeping me busy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again on your lovely quilt traveling to Paducah!
