The Saints won! The Super Bowl! Bree's-ed right in and WoN!
I ended up staying home and stealing pictures of Amelia's decorations. She printed and cut out the letters for the banner, used tissue paper for the black and gold balls, and Dollar Store purchases for the grass and the little football players on the football field. My daughter is a party decorator
extraordinaire!
Congrats...I'm not even a football fan and I was excited to watch them win.
ReplyDeleteHeh. I was kind of waiting for this post before I left my comment of congratulations. I don't enjoy football and kept complaining to Jim that baseball is far more enjoyable to watch and yet the Saints' second half was rivetting. Amelia has a gift to be sure. LOVE the color themed cupcakes, etc.
ReplyDeleteDeb - I'm not a football fan, either, but the excitement around the state was hard to resist!
ReplyDeleteACey - I can watch either football or baseball if I have handwork to do, but have never really followed a team.
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I ended up staying home and doing a little hand quilting. Fee went to a friend's party. Amelia called to ask where we were, and I admitted to having had a bit too much activity this week and needing the down time. I'd only planned to go to take pictures and hijacking hers was quicker!
Yeah! Wasn't that exciting?
ReplyDeleteGo Saints! Fun game!!
ReplyDeleteIt is so wonderful to catch up with you and find you still rocking and rolling...gonna go check out some of the links you've shared :)
ReplyDeleteTHEY DID IT!!!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I had an adopted Grandmother from Indiana, but I still rooted for the Saints.
Our country cannot put New Orleans on the back burner. We need to remember and help.

Gerrie - We needed that trip to the Super Bowl. Winning is LAGNIAPPE...and even more wonderful!
ReplyDeleteDebra - :) From the "Aints" to the "Saints" -- a long journey.
Karoda - Oh, yes, some great links lately! Lovely valentines all over the web!
Sharon - The win is a blessing for NOLA and all of us north of Cajun country as well!
what a great game -- even at my house, where there were no decorations and only a bag of corn chips with salsa to snack on with my last beer! your daughter is a deco-genius!
ReplyDeletegpc - Not much better than chips, salsa, and beer! :)
