I'm so enjoying visiting quilting and craft blogs again. Here is a terrific idea from Sew Take a Hike: A ticker tape quilt using those tiny scraps that you hate to throw away. What a great idea.
And these lovely hearts from Gerdiary! She was inspired by these cheerful hearts over at Rough Around the Edges.
Yesterday was chilly, but the sunshine was wonderful. A picture of our entry way, a place where the sun shines in and brightens my day. None of the Triad were lying around in the sun when I took this, but it is one of their favorite places to sprawl, warming themselves in the sun.
Edgar, Lucy, and Stinker have grown considerably, but Edgar is the largest, and delicate little Stinker is by far the smallest in her little black and white tuxedo.
Another favorite location is on the stairs that lead to my sewing/yoga studio. I have a great time running a little laser light up and down the stairs for them to chase. Even fat cats need exercise. Here, Lucy uses Edgar's head as a pillow.
How great! My cats love the laser light, too.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, those tiny scraps sometimes are the best... thanks a lot for mentioning my hearts... (+ for your comment!)
ReplyDeleteSun coming through the window in the morning is always a welcome thing.
ReplyDeleteLynne - It is even funnier with cats than with dogs! I love the way they get so excited over and over again!
ReplyDeleteGer - As always, I enjoy checking in on your lovely work and the poetry.
Rian - It really is, isn't it? I love the little patches of sun through windows.

ReplyDeleteSo glad y'all and the kitties have settled in so well. You always lead me into such fun places with your links-don't you love all the inspiration out there?! Looking forward to checking out your new creations-take care!
ReplyDeletejude - I spent a lot of time looking at those kitties! Three sizes, three personalities; these little siblings delight my heart.
ReplyDeletesuesueb - Thanks--we are nice and cozy here in our new little house overflowing with kitten mischief.
:) I spending much more time looking at inspiring sites than creating!
oh god. the kitten cuteness is just what I need right now. I know you didn't plan on keeping them but now I rather hope you do.
ReplyDeleteACey - Oh, they are definitely here to stay. They are good for out health because they make us laugh so much!
ReplyDeleteyour entryway is beautiful! I have loved seeing the pictures of your new house. Our cats are big laser light fans too
ReplyDeleteRebekah - Thanks! The laser lights are as much for humans as for cats, aren't they? Great technology for laughter!
