Arang is so spunky and funny: defying the Death Angels who want to carry her off to whatever fate awaits her in the next world, fighting with other ghosts, trying to regain her memory and discover who she was in real life, and recklessly challenging the Jade Emperor who, according to folklore, is the ruler of Heaven, Earth, and Hell. When Arang discovers that she was murdered, she fearlessly crosses the Styx and confronts the Jade Emperor in person, berating and scolding him. She's a cheeky, impertinent little thing.
Arang discombobulates personages in Heaven and Earth, and Lee Jun Ki as the magistrate, finds himself drawn to the plucky ghost in spite of himself. He initially agrees to help her regain her memory as part of his own agenda, but the more he works with Arang, the more attached he becomes.

I really liked Lee Jun Ki in Iljimae (historical drama) and Shin Min Ah in My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox (romantic comedy) so having both of them star in Arang is really fun. Both stars have the ability to make you care about their characters.

I've been working on two new mixed-media Eccentrics for the last few days. One uses a wire "toaster" used to toast bread over an open fire--at least, I think that is what it is. I have another one, but is a completely different type, so I'm not absolutely certain about the purpose of this rusted wire piece.
The other figure uses an old manufacturing thread bobbin. I have several in blue and in natural colors.As I keep looking through my vintage and found objects, I'm getting more ideas. It has been months since I've wanted work on dolls, and now, Eccentric figures and mixed media creations are the only thing on my mind. :) And I'm having fun with them!
