Sunday saw some progress, but no work got done yesterday as I was gone all day. At least no work on my room because I was too tired when I got home to think about it.
I'm finding all sorts of things I'd forgotten about and re-connecting with ideas as I sort through and organize.
Folded up among finished projects, I discovered this quilt from almost two years ago. All finished except for the binding. I think I should get that done!
Organizing threads.View from my window yesterday morning. Not only does it provide wonderful natural light, but it will be a pleasant view of the garden.
Guess I'd better get busy...
Love, love that quilt!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think you should finish this quilt. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteI remember that quilt! I liked it then, and still like it.
ReplyDeleteYes, take a break and get a binding on that quilt!
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling...gone all day and by evening too tired to do any projects...happens to me too :D
ReplyDeleteLove your little garden view.
Gerrie - Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFrancoise - Can't believe I forgot about this one. Out of sight, out of mind.
Kay - Yep! It will be my first project when I get the room finished!
Kim - Now, that is a good idea!
Connie - Don't have the same motivation in the evening, do we? :p
That's the thing about gardens...you make them and enjoy them, and then you have to re-do them next year or fix them periodically. At least with quilts, when you're done you're done.
ReplyDeletethat quilt is so happy. yes, finish it!
ReplyDeleterian - And the time to work in the garden is the worst time for allergies! Quilts avoid that problem, too.
ReplyDeletejude - :) Soon!
I think that the quilt is very beautiful, very striking. My husband loves the black backgrounds, but doesn't know how hard they can be on the eyes. Love your view of the garden.
ReplyDeleteI love stitching with a ring-side view of the garden beds. Also loving the beautiful little chest of drawers as well as all the drool worthy threads you've organized within it!
ReplyDeleteCandace - Thanks! This was hand quilted and VERY hard on the eyes, but I, too, love black backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteACey - So much better to look at the changing garden than the awful brick wall of the house next door!
I love the quilt. The black background is striking.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just finished the binding and am ready to put it in the washer. Finally, after two years, a UFO complete.
