I find them on my blog--nice surprises! Thank you for the kind words--I've enjoyed making fabric postcards again. I also prefer to send them as they are, so will take them to the P.O. when the time comes to mail them. Some would go through, I think, but not all of them! :)jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-6567967884265524062016-03-11T10:32:12.904-06:002016-03-11T10:32:12.904-06:00Jen! Love that you mixed the gruff old cardboard with lovely lace and delicate calligraphy. I could go on until I've named every fab detail. LoL. If everything is sewn down they won't need extra postage. But if you have something that sticks up like a button or beads and such, then they need extra postage and hand cancelling. Just look at them and ask yourself, is there any element on here that would get caught in a postage machine. That's when you need extra postage and hand cancelling. You already know that I think sending them just as they are (no envelope) is the beauty of a postcard...even if they get travel scars. After I trimmed them to fit the backs, I used a glue stick in the middle, then just adjusted the zigzag stitch and ran them through the machine making adjustments as needed. I'm not a perfectionist, obviously. I could have made the zigzag stitch tighter--to more of a satin stitch, but didn't. I want to make some with borders like Annie does. I love her borders!jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-20282963370285696932016-03-11T08:35:05.057-06:002016-03-11T08:35:05.057-06:00Thanks, Rachel! Silly me didn't pay attention to where they are coming from. Well this is a silly question, but could you say how you get that zig zag so close to the edge of the fabric? Do you stitch then trim, or is your stitch width set to stitch just over the edge? Do you use a certain tool to keep it on track? Lots of questions. I guess I'll google a tutorial on this, but would value your advice.<br />xx, CarolCarol- Beads and Birdshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11062821517519300477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-49495852520117286322016-03-11T04:12:31.254-06:002016-03-11T04:12:31.254-06:00They look lovely!
