Maybe because the embossing wasn't a solid design, just random highlights on the wrinkles.jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-1137471144234262372006-01-16T22:12:00.000-06:002006-01-16T22:12:00.000-06:00hey there!! this is cool stuff..how did you keep t...hey there!! this is cool stuff..how did you keep th embossed stuff from breaking off when you sewed??GingerAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03464163413712924064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-1137429586228523712006-01-16T10:39:00.000-06:002006-01-16T10:39:00.000-06:00Deb, I put wunder under on the felt, wadded up the...Deb, I put wunder under on the felt, wadded up the tissue, then straightened it out some, and ironed it onto the felt. The entire background of this piece is tissue.

I experimented with a different color tissue on the scraps, tried the embossing powder on them, liked the way they turned out,and then sewed those pieces onto the background. I didn't emboss the background piece, but did rub some metallic paints over it.jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-1137425923708059252006-01-16T09:38:00.000-06:002006-01-16T09:38:00.000-06:00Do you then sew the tissue on the fabric; glue it ...Do you then sew the tissue on the fabric; glue it in place or what? Someone protect me from myself...and Mary!

Right, Karoda, the embossing is on the tissue. I have never had much success on fabric either; embossing seems to be absorbed by the fabric and doesn't have the melty, glossy effect.jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13828728.post-1137381350746835302006-01-15T21:15:00.000-06:002006-01-15T21:15:00.000-06:00if i'm understanding correctly, the embossing was ...if i'm understanding correctly, the embossing was not against fabric? my results with trying to emboss on fabric where not appealing at all...yours is just on the tissue paper, right?Karodahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12659789966973636488noreply@blogger.com
