Merry Christmas (2018) Better Late than Never :)

I never posted this one last year, but here it is for 2019.

:)  The Secret Society of Hertford Crafters decorated 25 mailboxes for charity.
This one is for the fire department.

One of my grandmother's soup bowls with
a pomegranate and cranberries.
 Yes, I like pomegranates.  :)

  1. My daughter has loved pomegranates ever since she was a little girl. I never understood that. It just is eating seeds with gooey covering.
    Merry Christmas

    1. The color alone is delicious. I love the whole of the pomegranate--shape, color, seeds, and mythic mystique. :)

  2. Merry Christmas!
I dried a pomegranate shell, and used it on a still life sculpture board. Most of the color remains, darker but still rich with good texture.

    1. I'm going to keep that idea in mind. Still Life with Pomegranate is a great title for a painting!

  3. Explain that mailbox decorating fundraiser. That sounds like fun and something different. I love pomegranates, too. Not the taste as much as all the other sensory details, but I do like making a dip or sauce using the juice and powdered sugar to use in fruit salad. It really elevates the flavors and the colors.

    1. The Secret Society of Hertford Crafters did the post boxes last year. Here's
another of their projects. So much fun and the proceeds go to various charities. :)

I agree, Mary, about the sensory details of pomegranates and your use of a sauce for fruit salad sounds delicious!
