Rainy Days--Letters, Netflix, Emroidery

It has been a rainy week here in North Louisiana.  We needed some rain, but not day after day.  After day.  I didn't want to get soaked going to the grocery store,  and I had letters to answer and books to read so the first two days weren't a problem.  The next day, some household chores received a bit more energy than normal.  Yesterday, I indulged in some Netflix and embroidery.

Monday is predicted to be clear, but then the rains come again on Tuesday.  Aaargh!

February Incoming Mail

Melody's letter (below) in September went astray,
but was eventually returned to her.
The address was correct, so don't know why it was returned.
She included the returned letter with a new one.
Bonus:  two letters in one!
Love the stamps from Singapore.  :)

  1. Love that embroidery! And love that postcard meme...Your opinion is a dangerous ideology.

    1. Thanks, Connie! Opinion is a belief, not a fact. I need to go back to Ursula Le Guin's No Time to Spare; she discusses the difference in a couple of essays.

  2. Always love seeing your creative embroidering. AND your mail too. You must have the happiest mailbox on earth. Did you paint that last postcard? I love it!

    1. Thanks, Annie! Collaged a background and painted the girl. Some people keep an art journal, I send postcards. :)

  3. RAIN?? How 'bout 6 inches in two days and a 500 year flood. Luckily I live on the high side of the river but this flooding has hurt more that live in the low lying areas where people barely get by everyday, let along deal with flooding.

I really didn't do anything during those rainy days that I don't normally do...hand stitching..bingeing on Netfix. We just finished "Rectify" and it was excellent. What did YOU watch?

    1. Oh, no! Thank goodness you live on higher ground, Carol. I'll try Rectify. Just finished catching up on The Blacklist.

    1. Ahem. Well, mostly played, read, and watched Netflix, but I did get a start on spring cleaning. Sort of. :)
