Half Way Through A Month of Letters!

Last week's outgoing mail:

Also, the Barbie Overload postcard I've already shown you, and there were a couple that were so rushed, I forgot to take pictures.

Bryce Eleanor spent Saturday and Sunday with me.
 She painted.
 Made postcards for her cousins
that will go out in today's mail
since yesterday was President's Day.
Mila loves the Warrior series by Erin Hunter.
Max supposedly is a 5 Nights at Freddy's fan.
We also had to make some
 5 Nights at Freddy's (fnaf)
fabric creatures.
She did most of the sewing and stuffing.
So...why was I so exhausted?
Observing can be tedious,
especially if you are trying to oversee the sewing machine.
Next time, we are definitely making larger figures.
The tallest is only about 5 inches.

  1. How fortunate you are to have your little helper in attendance. Wonderful cards -- each different and happy.

    1. Yep, the dragon was definitely you! I practiced a bit before trying on the watercolor paper and loved finding a quote I could alter to fit the circumstances. :)

  3. One of the reasons (and it's a sad one at that) the grands don't sew is that I am a crazy woman when someone sits on my sewing chair. When that person is touching my precious Bernina, it feels as though they are pinching my baby. I can't handle it. Really, I've hyperventilated. So the best we do is they design, paint, draw, and I do the sewing. I'm a horrid grandmother. You on the other hand, are the best! B.E. is such a lucky girl!

    1. Ha! I had a backache from trying to keep things in order. I wish B.E. wanted to sew straight line stuff, but no, always something complicated that keeps me on edge. I remember you mentioning on your blog about people sitting in your sewing chair! :)

  4. Artist in training. That is so wonderful! I can't believe we are already half way through the month. You can do this! Go Jen, go Jen, go Jen! Fun pieces you're sending out.

    1. I don't know if I'll ever try this again, but the challenge has certainly forced me out of my comfort zone. The experimenting with a little bit of everything has been fun, though. :)

  5. You are so lucky to have a "girl". My daughter had no interest in sewing until her boys were born and she started creating Halloween costumes that she designed. My "boys" have no interest in sewing, but they can mend a seam and stitch a button on so I am happy about THAT!!

Love all the art going on at your house!!
thank you for my card, too.
    xx, Carol

    1. Oh, I love that your daughter designed and created Halloween costumes! You know how much I love Halloween! And boys who can mend a seam and stitch on a button are priceless, Carol.

I'm so glad you liked your card!
