Halloween Prep

I love this appliqued Halloween quilt
(found on Pinterest) from Notforgotten Farm.
She also does wonderful needle punch designs.

She sells patterns for needle punch
and these cutie pie thread winders/holders
 in her Etsy Shop.

Yes, now I want to do needle punch.

---------------------------------

I've begun getting out all of the Halloween stuff.

I made the flowers below two years ago,
but I added the ghosties to the basket.

I started making some more flowers...
but I AM NOT doing the fabric stiffener
and sealing like I did on the above.

These flowers are going 3 times as fast
without the extra steps,
and I have a different idea in mind for them.

My clothes could use a pressing
to get the wrinkles out, but
 I can't iron right now
because the ironing board is functioning
as work space of another kind.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I knew you'd be starting the Halloween-ing soon. Otherwise how would you get it all done? I'm anxious to see your plan for the new flowers. I really like those thread holders. I may have to look into a few for my embroidery thread just cause they're so cute.

  2. I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but I love the colour orange! Go figure. These crafts are terrific. I especially like your flowers and ghosts.

  3. I love Halloween!! And, in fact, this time of the year. That quilt is absolutely gorgeous and I love your ghosts and basket - they're so good! It must be a real treat for little kids coming to your place with all of this.

  4. Mary - :) Aren't the thread holders cute? She has them for more than just Halloween, too. Oh, yes, I'm busy with Halloween decorating.

Marie - The ghosts were inspired by something on Marie Claire Idees, and I may make some more. Easy and fun.

Lynn - I'm definitely a fan of Halloween because it allows such whimsy and silliness! I have a great witch hat that the kids love.
