New Wreath

I had some extra burlap and saw this tutorial on Where the Heart Is  and  had to try it.  Quick and easy!  All I did differently was add some butterflys from old book pages that I'd already cut out and make another raggedy "flower."
I'm really happy with it!  Total cost, maybe $5.00.  The burlap was about $4.00 a yard, and it took more than a yard, but I already had the burlap, the coat hanger ;), the old book, and all the muslin and lace scraps--so essentially, it didn't cost anything.  This one is about 16-17" but I'm making a smaller one, too.  Have plenty of hangers, scraps, and enough burlap.

The butterfly idea is something I first saw on French blogs, although they are everywhere now.  Doesn't matter--I love them.  This is the third or 4th set I've made.

I pulled out this little lady with the rooster and cabbage leaf on her head and nest in her dress that I made several months ago and added her to the sheep on one of the shelves in the entry.

She looks like Spring to me.

We will be heading to Baton Rouge and St. Francisville tomorrow.  Megan's wedding is Saturday!  Max will be the ring bearer and Bryce Eleanor will be a flower girl.  Fingers crossed that no problems arise with the little ones, who are, I admit a bit of a handful at times, as is typical of 4 and 3 years old.

The wedding should be beautiful, and it is always fun to have the whole family together.  Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids.

Amelia sent me this video, and I couldn't stop laughing!
