I thought I'd published this last week!

What would we do without blocks?  Like her mother before her, Bryce Eleanor is a builder who loves Leggos and blocks.

So...what has been happening since then?  Not too much.  I'm reading again, but still trying to put in some time in the studio each day.  Still trying to organize.

I loved Operation Mincemeat and reviewed it on my book blog.  Truly engrossing story, full of real-life espionage and fascinating individuals.

Just finished Jaqueline Winspear's The Mapping of Love and Death, and it didn't disappoint.  I've enjoyed all of Winspear's Maisie Dobbs series.  Set in London after WWI, Maisie Dobbs is a psychologist and an investigator.  If you haven't read this series and decide to try it, begin with the first one because Maisie's character grows with each case and as she learns to put the war behind her.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner!  We are not doing the traditional thing this year.  Fee has a kind of thing about Thanksgiving.  Me, I only have a problem with eating and then having to sit around because I feel like a concrete-lined blimp.

We will see how this goes and get back to traditional foods at Christmas.

I never do Black Friday, but I may participate by shopping on line this year.  Ahem, I've already done some cyber shopping, but there will be plenty of online sales to check out.  The French Cupboard is having "An Extravagant Affair"!

Must remember that I'm not supposed to buy my own Christmas presents.   I do, however, have an extensive wish list, especially of books and crafting supplies.  :)

Can a girl ever have too many books, too much fabric, too many pretty threads, too many beads, or too much paper clay?

  1. Definitely not (except perhaps the paper clay, in my case...;)

  4. Debby - I was getting tired of the other Ariel pj's, but that was all she wanted to wear. She's only here once a week (usually), but still. When I found these, which are also Ariel--of course, I snapped them up. She loves them.

Dig out those Maisie Dobbs. I really like the way Winspear has handled Maisie's growth!
