B.E., Boudin Blanc, Books

Second week in a row with no pics of Bryce Eleanor.  Last night I fixed her some boudin blanc and some vegetables Fee had grilled the night before.
boudin blanc = white boudin  Pronunciation:  boo-DAHN BLAHN  Notes:   This is a white sausage made of meat (pork, chicken, or veal) and rice.  France produces a very delicate milk-based version, while the Cajun version includes a lot of rice as a filler, making it chewier and more flavorful.   Substitutes:  weisswurst OR bratwurst

She wasn't thrilled with it, but no problem, because I cleaned her plate as well as mine after fixing her a little chicken and carrot dinner in the microwave.  These are great because they take only 30 seconds, and B.E. loves them.

Edgar looks a little forsaken.  B.E. didn't give him nearly the attention he usually gets.

I have some new yoga books that arrived yesterday, a couple of ARCs, my library books, and a stack of children's books surrounding my reading chair.

I'm currently reading Citizens of LondonThe Americans Who Stood with Britain in Its Darkest, Finest Hour  and Walking to Gatlinburg.

  1. Everything on your page looks very inviting--the boudin, the books, even the kitty--I think I could even give a smooch to Edgar, who looks downright miffed. I'm very allergic to cats, so that's saying something.

  2. The boudin was delicious! Edgar is such a love; he will give you a high five through the window to prevent allergic reactions.

Bryce Eleanor loves putting to fingers to the window when we are on the patio, and Edgar always obliges. :)

  3. what do you think of Yoga for Anxiety? I have been considering it but am (wait for it ...) anxious that I will disappointed somehow.

  4. ACey, I've just skimmed over the book and don't when I'll get around to reading it. I've started with the Mark Stephens book which is a big, ole' thick'un.

:) You will have to hold on to your anxiety a little longer. I'll tell you what I think of the book when I finish.

On the other hand, when I finish any yoga practice based on breath, my anxiety is relieved!
