Window Views & Witches

Terry Windling of The Drawing Board has been posting pictures of "the view from my window," and I'm finding the different views so interesting.  Such a wonderful variety of landscapes, mostly from Windling's friends and followers...artists, authors, musicians, and other creative individuals.

I posted a view from my studio window the other day in a collage, but now that I've seen these, I think I need to try for a better version.  One thing about this house is that it does have wonderful views from the windows, especially those on the back garden.

While I'm still bemoaning the loss of my last garden, I do love this smaller one and will work on gradually bringing in more color, more herbs, more birds and butterflies.  Two birds that we have here that we didn't have even that short distance away are cedar waxwings and a redwing blackbird.  I love that redwing blackbird!

Finished one of the Halloween figures I've been working on.  She sits on the hollow log I made a few weeks ago and didn't know what to do with.  She's having a bit of tea and planning her Halloween escapades.

  1. I think come Halloween your house is going to be all a-twitter with your little poppets!

  4. Thanks, Rebekah, I appreciate the kind comments! It is funny how my imagination keeps adding details to the figures. Oh, a mask would be good, and a button, and a tea pot....
