Sunday Thoughts

Although I've been doing more reading at night than playing with needle and thread, I have been occasionally working on the scarf.  I have to embroider each side separately, but here are the latest in my endeavors to fill in the white blocks.

Tomorrow, our contractor is supposed to begin taking down two brick walls.  And then putting them back up in, hopefully, pre-tornado condition.  Locating matching brick has taken some time, and I'm not even sure if it is exactly a match, but at this point, don't much care.

I've been subbing for Marcia again this week while she visits her sister in Virginia. The more yoga and meditation I can do now, the better.  Anxiety over the tornado damage can be somewhat kept at bay by several hours of yoga and some calming meditation.

The kittens are prospering, but Edna is now Edgar.  Their last visit to the vet confirmed the misnomer.  He is not  the prettiest, but he is by far the most charming.  Always seeking your company and turning on that purring in a volume surprising for his size.  Lucy and Stinker, while cute as can be, just don't have the same pizazz as Edna Edgar. :)  Although his habit of climbing your leg to get into your arms is not one that I want to encourage!

  1. The tornado damage must be terribly stressful. I hope the repair goes well.

  5. Kay - Me, too! About the repairs, I mean. I'm wishing I'd had just a yard to mow, not a garden to clean up!

Rian - Thanks, Rian! It is nothing to what those who have been through hurricanes have endured, but I'll be glad when things are back to normal.

WMQuilter - Thanks! I love that embroidery is so relaxing!

Debra - Hoping that things will be back in order soon! I do miss my trees, though!

  9. ACey - I don't know--they are showing for me. Hate it when something like this happens, and I have no idea what's going on. :(

  10. well I just came back over tonight when I couldn't sleep to see if there was a new post and thought to click on the title of the post where I couldn't see the images. They appeared! So did the rest of the post (previously I couldn't figure out why Jude was talking about her parakeet in the comments, heh). So now I know what to do if I can't see stuff in the future. Glad yoga is helping!
