Another Tee

I wore this tee shirt yesterday, but couldn't get a good picture of the embroidery because I had to stand so far from the mirror to avoid the flash. It looks close, but it isn't. When closer to the mirror, the flash would go off and make a big blur. But when I got far enough away for a shot to take, all detail was lost.
So later on I took it off, put it on a hanger, and took it outside. Thus, the wrinkles instead of the freshly ironed look.
The back...

I do love that simple running stitch! It is my favorite stitch to make.

Quilting? Que? Not much going on even in my head in that area.

Still loving my latest yoga class. Not that I don't enjoy the fitness classes at the WK Wellness Center, but I'm so glad to have branched out a little and discovered the sense of relaxation that Marcia's class provides. It seems both serve a purpose in my life, the more dynamic, demanding, and fast-paced fitness yoga and the slower, more thoughtful, more internally satisfying restorative yoga.

The course in Austin is approaching more and more quickly. Fee and I are going to drive down sometime after July 4, take our time, visit San Antonio, then head to Austin and have some time there before he returns home on the 9th or 10th. I'll be staying through the first week of August.

  1. see, I barely noticed the t-shirt in the first pic because I was so conscious of how fit and healthy you look. I thought "all this yoga is doing fabulous things" before getting to the part of the post that covered this topic.

  6. ACey - You can't imagine how good your comment makes me feel right now! I've been so pleased with the mental improvement the restorative yoga has provided, but have worried a bit about taking this course with so many people who are 20-30 years younger. Thinking that I look fit gives me courage!

Paula - Thanks! I said this would be the last tee shirt I'd embroider, but yesterday, I found myself going through the tee shirt stack and thinking, "What about doing this one?"

    Kay - I'm glowing!

ger - If I do another one, I think I'll cover the entire thing with little kantha stitches...and maybe, taking a cue from you, add a line from a poem!

    Gerrie - Thanks, Gerrie!

  12. I just love your tees. What do you use to stabilize as you stitch? and do you use a hoop?

  13. lynne - Thanks! I use a hoop and a water soluble stabilizer which just washes out. No pulling on the stitches like with a tear-away stabilizer...
