Is It Wednesday, Already?

Where does the time go? Days, weeks, months move so quickly now.

The weather has been beautiful for the last few days! I wish all of our days were as lovely as these have been.

I've almost finished this piece, "Miro Dreams a Circus" and have no idea what I'll do with it.
I'm busy learning Sanskrit terms for my summer adventure and have about 8 books on the class reading list ordered from Amazon. Now, off to another class.

Namaste.

  1. I am adoring the texture you've achieved through all the little turquoise cross stitches. It was fun to catch up on your latest posts. You know I often think a consciously developed yoga practice leads to all kinds of shifts in more generalized committment levels. Am excited to see this circling back to yoga and the EXCITING month long adventure you're giving yourself.

I am curious if this connection will garner some increased opportunities to study reiki, as well?

  3. ACey - I'm definitely interested in reiki. I looked into the Austin School of Oriental Medicine a couple of summer's ago, but I just don't have that much time. So many interesting possibilities!

Austin is also such a center for arts and crafts and creative people. I can hardly wait!

Jude - First, I just embroidered, then I added batting and "quilted" with the cross stitches to add a sense of dream-night with some moonlight filtering through. I miss the texture that quilting provides when I do just an embroidered piece.

  5. I agree..I like the x's...adds texture... and a sense of completeness. It would make a lovely wall hanging.

  7. suesue - Thanks! My evening occupations have no specific purpose other than keeping my hands busy and the pleasure of the stitching.

Art4Sol - It is only about 8 x 8, but maybe I could attach it to something else.

Debby - I added those little Miro-like figures and thus the title. :) Good thing he'll never know!

  10. Hi Jenclair, I am glad you shared your inspired embroidery of Miro. I really like the title of your embroidery. I made a post about your art work and links to your blog and flicker page.

I've posted a new embroidery that I have finished since you last visited. You can see it here.
