New Sock Doll

Yesterday's CED: Finally finished the newest sock monster by adding her eyes and a hat.
I don't like the white sock. Maybe that is why I put her away for awhile. She just looks too stark...

  1. hope you are feeling better today. I have trouble working with stark white but then later I often like what evolved from it. Also like looking at it in the context of somebody else's project, like this latest sock monster.

  2. She is sweet - reminds me of Miffy (in a good way). a few months of being loved by BE should knock the brightness and whiteness off her.

  8. Gerrie - Thanks!

Debra - I've seen such cute ones all over the web; now, I understand the pleasure in making them!

rian - She does look prissy, doesn't she? :)

jude - I'm a little hesitant because she's already stuffed...but I'm thinkin' about it. I'll do that with the other white sock before using it. Thanks for the suggestion!

  9. ACey - I love stark white in contrast with bright fabrics in quilts, but in the doll, it bothers me. :\

Paula - This one isn't going to BE, but the result will be the same, as Elizabeth will knock the white right out of her!
