Daily Things and Long Naps

Daily Things #11 & # 12 -- Two more bottle snugs. I'm sort of catching up. My energy level is following that bio-rhythm schedule and is quite low. I took a long nap this afternoon; sat down to read a little and ended up sleeping a lot. But...at least my house is clean! Well, except for the sewing room which looks as if it has seen recent tornadic activity.

  1. wish I'd taken a nap. Fed myself coffee instead and the caffeine made me anxious rather than perky. Just sitting here wondering how long it will take me to bake the banana bread I promised Jim yesterday...

  2. I'm so impressed with your stick-to-it-ness with the daily thing project!!! I love these bottle snugs! I should include a couple to accompany baby quilts - I don't think they advocate the bottle over the breast - the breast is best! but there are times even with a breastfed baby that the bottle is necessary!

thanks for always providing good ideas! xx

  3. Oh, I think I will make these for sippy cups, since I am FINALLY this week, beyond the bottle stage until I have grandchildren. Now, to get the last one potty trained. I suppose he should run first...

  4. Cut bottle snugs! So pretty. I so wish my house were clean. It's difficult when you work six days a week even though it's at the quilt shop which is the job I love. I cam in from work a few minutes ago, plopped down on the couch and here's where I'll be until I'm made to get up (or have to visit the 'little girls' room)!

  5. ACey -- Wish I had some of that banana bread!

kim-- Ahhh, and now my stick-to-it-ness had gone to hell for breakfast! I don't know if I can catch up at this late date. Working mothers require bottles -- but I didn't use them for quite a while. :) My pediatrician finally told me to put Erin on skim milk for several feedings though because she got so fat! I resented having to prepare the bottles, but she really was a breast-fed fatty.

Jules - Perfect for sippy cups!

CQ-- Being retired has a lot of advantages! Unfortunately, I don't manage my time nearly as well as when I worked. My expenses wouldn't cover my salary if I worked in a quilt shop!

  6. I really enjoy your blog, thankfully I am way past the bottle stag, I am onto Great Grandkids, but the bottle snuggies would make great gifts, I saw the take out coffee wrap, kept a carboard one to use for a pattern but haven't actually made it yet. I agree with the others about how you are sticking to your project. The things you are making are so fun. This is the first comment I have left you but it is not the first time I have visited, and I really do enjoy your blog, so "tag" you're it. I am new to blogging but have been "tagged" by a friend. So now I am tagging you, this is where you need to list 7 different things about yourself. But first you need to come to my blog and get the rules, then I hope you will finish and do your part. Thanks for the fun, see you soon. Mary of NanaB
