Pay It Forward, Moo, and Wrong Trousers :)

Pay It Forward

Last year I participated in PIF and enjoyed it a great deal. So...I am going to participate again this year (thanks to Kim at SkybellArts). Here are the instructions (I'm not sure where this originated this year, but it looks like the same deal as last year):

I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

I'm not at all sure what to do, but I have several ideas in mind, and will work them in among all my current projects. Right now, I'm on a roll, which is a nice change!

Moo Cards
Mine arrived yesterday! Love them! I selected some photographs of my quilts, embroidery, and flowers. The backs have my name, Bayou Quilts, etc. They are very small, much narrower than business cards, but for $20 , I can think of a number of great uses for them. About 6 months ago, I tried to do this and couldn't make it work, I was delighted when it worked this time.I managed to get through the rest of the day without complaining yesterday. A tricky endeavor since I often had to stop and think whether or not a negative comment was complaining, whining, or criticizing...or just making an observation...and that in itself is a good thing. Today, however, I've had to start over again...

I found this video over at Wisdom of the Moon. The name of the group is The Wrong Trousers, and like Wendy, I am proud of these kids.

  4. I would love to participate in your PIF exchange. I had been thinking of having a little giveaway on my blog but this is even better. If you will confirm I am in, I will post it on my blog as well. I love the Pay It Forward Concept, everyone could use a little more art in their world. :o)

Oh, love the little onesies - so cute!
