October Celebrations and links

Congratulations are in order for Omega of Threading Thoughts! Her quilt Persuasion made Quilt National 2007. I love Omega's work and have linked to her before, but this is a real honor.

Emmy over at Cramzy had two of her art quilts on display at the la Bourboule Festival. Emmy does beautiful and colorful felted work.

I'm not keeping up to well with new additions to the AQ Ring, but in the last week or two, I've visited a couple of new members whose work was fun and inspiring: Jan's Art and Quilting and A Stitch in Time.

  1. Melanie Testa, who is in the blog ring also was accepted into QN. The ring is filled with some awesome artists for sure. I just love the growth spurts that the ring goes through :)

  2. I'm terrible about visiting other ring blogs. I make it a point to visit (and comment to) everyone who visits me, but I have to admit I'm reaching critical mass and it's difficult to keep up.

  3. Karoda - Will have to check out Melanie's blog. You are right about the growth spurts! The ring has certainly grown.

Rian - It is really impossible to keep up with all the blogs on the ring AND all of the other blogs and rings. Every once in a while, I try to check out new members, but then I forget about them for long periods.

  4. Thanks for the link to Omega's quilt. I am very intrigued by her work.

  5. Thank you so much for the nice words about my quilts

  6. Gerrie - good description of Omega's work. It is intriguing.

Emmy - I love checking in on your blog to see what you are doing and happy to share my pleasure.

Good to hear from you!
